Job Description & Duties:

Repair, maintain, and install a variety of machinery and equipment throughout Paper Mill and Power departments.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for safety and safe procedures and practices on the job.
• Operate: drill press, grinders, welders, mig, stick and tig, acetylene and oxygen.
• Be able to work with ladders, scaffolds and scissor lifts. Also be able to lift 50 lbs. and work in the heat and cold.
• Devise, fabricate and assemble new modified mechanical equipment.
• Be proactive instead of reactive (preventative maintenance) look around the area you are working in.
• Perform rigging, lifting, installation, repair and maintain equipment and machinery used through the paper mill.
• Be able to use addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, use a tape measure, read pressure and vacuum gauges.
• Maintain plumbing throughout the paper mill and company owned properties.
• Have wood working and concrete abilities preferred.
• Be able to operate overhead cranes will train as needed.
• Work from blueprints and sketches or use personal knowledge of task to be performed.
• Assemble necessary tools and equipment and materials to perform work and convey to scene of repair job using hand truck or electric truck.
• Observe machinery for malfunction.
• Tear down, replace, or repair worn or damaged parts.
• Align machinery and equipment using calipers, rule, level, plum bob, thickness gauges, square, micrometer and computer.
