Water Treatment/Distribution Operator
The City of Princeton is accepting applications for a full-time Water Treatment/Distribution Operator at the Water Treatment Plant. Performs a variety of duties to support the operation and maintenance of the municipal water system including installing, repairing, and maintaining water mains, service lines, valves, curb boxes, and fire hydrants, as well as conducting hydrant flushing, flow testing, and leak detection. Operates excavation and utility equipment, manages chemical supply and dosage rates, and completes required state and federal testing documentation.
Additional duties include general building and grounds maintenance, snow removal, and responding to after-hours or weekend emergencies.
Qualifications:
qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in all weather conditions, strong safety awareness, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Public works and equipment experience preferred. Ability to obtain a Class C Water License within 2 years of hiring preferred, and a Class B CDL within six months.
Starting wage: $31.00/hour minimum.
