Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The Program Logic Control (PLC) Technician is responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated systems within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across production operations

Troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and related devices
- Writes basic PLC programs (Ladder Logic) and understands and analyzes existing PLC ladder logic, recommends solutions, and initiates modifications as needed
- Responsible for hands on solutions including installations and upgrades
- Completes preventative maintenance as required
- Utilizes knowledge and experience in variable voltage circuits, 4-20mA circuits and 3 phase power up to 480v to perform assigned tasks
- Identifies problematic areas and inform supervisor of solutions
- Performs repairs in a cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly manner to maximize equipment availability
- Applies proper safety practices and follow procedures while performing maintenance tasks
- Other duties as assigned
- Vocational or Technical degree
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs (Ladder Logic)
- Ability to read and understand repairs manuals and drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge relating to Programmable Logic Controller installation, troubleshooting, programming, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic devices as related to PLCs
- Associate degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience in supporting Rockwell Automation PLC
- Ability to interact within a multi-disciplined team
