Position OverviewThe Maintenance Operator I support the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course.
Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Maintain the greens, including mowing, plugging, verticutting, sodding, and ball mark repairs.
- Change cups, pin locations, and tee placements; repair divots.
- Check and maintain good condition of cups, flags, and tee markers.
- Check ball washers, empty trash, and remove course debris.
- Communicate effectively with all team members and guests.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or needs of the club.
- Understanding of the game of golf and importance of course conditions
- In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:
- Appropriate state pesticide applicators license
- Previous golf course or landscape maintenance experience

Physical DemandsThe employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. The employee must be able to sit for long periods of time while driving golf course equipment.
Work EnvironmentThis position will require regular exposure to the outdoors.
