About the Role

The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the maintenance, repair, safety, and appearance of our facilities and grounds. This role performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.

The successful candidate will interact professionally with Sisters, staff, contractors, vendors, and inspectors while helping ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plumbing
  • Repair and replace plumbing fixtures, dishwashers, mixing valves, and water heaters.
  • Clean and maintain drains, sewer lines, and vents.
  • Maintain building domestic hot and cold-water distribution systems.
  • Service natural gas kitchen and laundry equipment
Electrical
  • Replace outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ballasts, breakers, motors, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and identify safety concerns
  • Replace fuses, breakers, motor starters, and control relays.
  • Provide support for the current contract and perform on-site generator tests.
HVAC & Building Systems
  • Assist with the operations, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment and building controls
  • Perform filter changes, belt replacements, and system adjustments
  • Monitor and assist with water treatment and closed-loop geothermal systems.
  • Maintain and utilize computerized HVAC management systems.
Carpentry & General Maintenance
  • Repair doors, floors, walls, ceilings, windows, roofs, furniture, and cabinetry.
  • Install and repair hardware such as locks, hinges, and fixtures.
  • Operate and perform preventative maintenance on hand and power tools.
Grounds & Equipment
  • Assist with snow removal and general grounds maintenance.
  • Perform pickups, deliveries, furniture moves, and trash removal as needed.
  • Maintain equipment supporting lakes, ponds, and pool systems, including blowers, filters, and related components.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities maintenance, construction, building operations, or related skilled trades.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs preferred and experience in program implementation is a plus.
  • Experience in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and/or web-based HVAC control systems preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, teamwork, customer service, and respect for diverse individuals and roles.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
