Fabrication, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
We are looking for an experienced Structures Mechanic to support heavy maintenance operations on ATR turboprop aircraft for a leading air cargo carrier. This role involves interpreting task cards and blueprints, selecting the appropriate tools, and carrying out structural repairs and installations to meet precise standards. The mechanic will be responsible for drilling, reaming, and riveting to close tolerances using standard fasteners as well as blind/pop rivets, including HI-Loks.
Additional duties include performing fabrication and installation tasks, ensuring quality control, managing corrosion prevention, and fabricating and installing stringers and doublers.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance on ATR turboprop aircraft.
- Read and interpret task cards and blueprints to determine required tools and procedures.
- Accurately drill, ream, and rivet to close tolerances using standard fasteners, blind/pop rivets, and HI-Loks.
- Fabricate and install stringers, doublers, and other structural components.
- Carry out corrosion prevention and control measures.
- Execute repairs and installations according to specifications.
- Perform basic fabrication, component installation, and final quality checks.
- Submit all completed work for inspection and approval.
- 5+ years of aircraft structural repair or fabrication experience.
- Ability to drill, ream, countersink, and rivet sheet metal from blueprints.
- Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).
- Must pass a basic structures fabrication test.
