Loader Operator - Utility Crew

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join our utility crew. This person will operate a front-end loader to support a 4-person pipe crew with excavation, material handling, and back filling activities. The Loader Operator must be able to lift 50+ pounds, enjoy working outdoors, and be comfortable working long hours in all weather conditions. This position requires teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic.

• Operate a front-end loader safely and efficiently to move and load materials such as dirt, stone, and pipe.
• Assist the pipe crew with excavation, backfill, and material handling needs.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Communicate effectively with the crew and foreman.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with other duties on the job site as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating a front-end loader (Not a fork lift position)
• Experience working on a pipe or utility crew preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and specifications.
• Must be dependable/hardworking and possess excellent teamwork/communication skills
• Willingness to work long hours and some weekends when necessary.
• Dependable transportation to and from the job site.
• A positive attitude and a team player.

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Work in sitting, standing, kneeling, or crouched positions for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
