Theidealcandidatewillberesponsibleforplanning,constructing,erecting,installingandrepairingconcretestructuressuchasfoundations,slabs,walls,stairs,andanyotherbuildingcomponentsthatarerequiredtosatisfactorilycompletetheconcretescopeofworkinaproject.
Dailychallengesandgoals:- Tieandplacerebar,wiremesh,post-tensioningcables,etc.(rod-busting).
- Assemblewoodenormetalconcreteforms,ties,and shoring.
- Pour,vibrate,andfinishconcretefoundations,walls,stairs,andsmallslabs.
- Workcloselywithproject Superintendents,Foremen,and Laborers.
- Ensureconstructionsafetyregulationstoworkinasafeworkenvironment.
- Readblue-prints(construction drawings) andmeasuringinstruments.
- Useasequenceofstraightedges,bull floats,mopsandhighwaystraightedges,float blades,combo blades,handtools,sledgehammer,handsaws,power drills,saws,lasers,finish blades,etc.
- Establishcrossslopesandacceptabletolerancesofsidewalks,ADAramps,curbs,driveways,andotherconcretestructures.
- Patchandrepairconcreteslabwork,andconcretejointtreatments.
- 5+yearsofconcretecarpentry,equipmentoperationandmaintenance,rod-busting,concreteformwork,andpouringconcrete.
- Physicallyfittoclimb,stand,kneel,reach,walk,bend,balance,andsquatforprolongedperiodsoftime.
- Abilitytolift,push,carryandpullupto
50lbs. - Abilitytooperateaskidsteerandtelehandler.
- Abilitytooperatetotalstation,layoutandfieldengineeringisaplus.
- Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelyin Spanish/English language.
- Driver’slicenseisaplus.
