Overview
A Deepwater Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining cranes on an offshore procurement platform in the Gulf of Mexico.
Responsibilities- Operate levers and pedals to control the crane.
- Follow hand signals to raise, lower, and rotate the boom or load.
- Lift and move equipment or material on the platform and between boats in various sea conditions.
- Maintain and clean crane equipment.
- Provide leadership to construction riggers.
- Conduct safety and operation inspections of the crane.
- This position is to work on a deepwater production platform that is being decommissioned but has years of service from being completed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 or more years of prior offshore crane operating experience on a floating facility.
- Crane Operator Certification.
- Must be open to working/assisting other crafts on the platform when not completing lifts.
- Previous experience operating Seatrax cranes preferred.
- Deepwater operating experience preferred.
- Mechanical experience or aptitude.
