About Us
Tower Aviation Management, LLC, operating under Part 135 as ALG Jet, is seeking a highly skilled Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Maintenance & Avionics Technician to join our growing team. We operate a fleet of Hawker 400XPs and Challenger 604s, and this position is based at Charles

B. Wheeler Downtown Airport (KMKC).
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is seeking long-term career growth - with advancement potential to Lead Technician and eventually Director of Maintenance, depending on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company aircraft
Ensure airworthiness by following manufacturer manuals, FAA regulations, and company procedures
Accurately document all maintenance performed in accordance with FAA and company requirements
Support aircraft operations, including preflight and post-flight inspections
Maintain compliance with Part 135 regulations and company safety standards
Report directly to the Director of Maintenance or designee
Assist with avionics troubleshooting, component replacement, and system checks as required

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of line maintenance experience, preferably with business jets
Experience with Hawker 400XP and Challenger 604 (factory training a plus)
Strong troubleshooting and technical skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must provide own set of airframe tools
High school diploma or GED
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Subject to FAA/DOT pre-employment and random drug testing

Preferred

Skills & Experience:

Collins/Proline Avionics troubleshooting, installation, and repair experience (highly preferred)
FAA Inspection Authorization (IA)
FCC GROL Certificate
Graduate of a technical college or accredited apprenticeship program
Proficiency with CAMP, Traxxall, or other aircraft maintenance tracking systems
Familiarity with Textron One View and Bombardier publications
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Physical & Travel Requirements:

Ability to lift, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces; lift up to 40 lbs unassisted
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as required
Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel domestically and internationally for aircraft support and training
