Salary Range: $30.00 To $50.00 Hourly
AFS is growing! We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Truck Shop Diesel Mechanics team with pay up to $50 hourly! - Run diagnostic tests on heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles
- Repairs, maintenance and servicing large straight trucks, and busses,
- Analyze diagnostic test results
- Test drive vehicles to gauge performance
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Maintain detailed records of service vehicles
- One year’s experience in diesel engine repair
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine technology and components
- Mechanical aptitude and problem solving
- Proficiency in operating all types of vehicles, equipment and tools
- Able to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
- Good interpersonal skills with Supervisors and Co-workers
- Willing to obtain factory certifications
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Class B CDL
-preferred, not required
- Standing, walking, lifting (often over 50lbs), and working in various positions like stooping, kneeling, and bending.
- Dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to use tools are also essential.
