HOLT CAT in Irving, Texas is looking for a heavy construction equipment Shop Servcie Tech 3 for the component rebuild center. This mechanic position is responsible for performing inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of diesel-powered heavy equipment and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. The mechanic should be able to work independently or as a member of a team to provide mechanical services that satisfies customer needs and achieves departmental goals.

E. Airport Freeway, Irving, TX 75061. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

• Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures
• Disassembles and assembles of machine components to manufacturer’s specifications through the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling
• Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components
• Demonstrates good customer relations and support; communicates customer needs to shop management
• The Technician must be able to plan and controls cost of repair jobs
• The Technician must be able to document all work performed electronically
• The Technician must be able to practice all safety protocols and follow company safety guidelines
• The Technician must be able to order parts online and identifies parts for return
• Mentors and helps train other technicians
• Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition
• Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
• Works overtime as required by workload and customers’ needs
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; e.g., Pro Tech Technician Training Paths
• Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Knowledge of heavy equipment machines such as dozers, excavators, motor graders, and other dirt moving equipent preferred
• Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems (CAT ET & CAT SIS experience is preferred).
