Electrical Apprentice

Job description:

Van’s Plumbing & Electric is seeking a experienced, motivated and dependable Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while working alongside skilled electricians on a variety of residential electrical installations, maintenance, and repair projects.

In this role, you will support licensed electricians in completing work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. You’ll be part of a collaborative team environment where learning, growth, and craftsmanship are prioritized every day.

As an Electrical Apprentice at Van’s, you will play an important role in supporting our mission and contributing to the continued growth of a trusted Northwest Washington provider of heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing services.

Van’s proudly serves Whatcom County, including Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Blaine, and surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Van’s installation standards of exceptional quality and workmanship
• Meet/exceed proficiency standards of all aspects of electrical circuit/system installation and commissioning
• Understand proper circuit/wire sizing and routing
• Willingness and ability to climb on roof top structures or into attic/crawl spaces
• Maintain Van’s standards with a ‘customer‑first’ perspective
• Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all team members

Qualifications:

• Valid WA Electrical Trainee Card.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License and clean driving record
• 1-3 years of experience
• Experience working on job sites
• Attention to detail
• Project minded visualization
• Problem solving attitude
• Look for creative solutions to unique needs
• Enjoy the daily challenge and working through solutions
• Ability to work well as part of a team
