Required Experience:
Must have, or be able to obtain a class B CDL, with P and S endorsements, experience in Heavy Truck, Diesel Mechanics, and Electrical Components
Preferred Experience: ASE Certifications aligned with School Bus, Diesel, Heavy Truck

Cleveland Public Schools is seeking an innovative and qualified mechanic to join our family as our district level mechanic. We are a school that prides itself on creating opportunities and giving students hope through education.

Specific Duties as The Transportation Director Are:

• Daily fleet maintenance and inspection to prepare for routes and general purpose.
• Performs maintenance of all of the district's equipment and performs any needed repairs from large diesel to small engine repairs.
• Repair and adjust fuel, ignition, electrical and cooling systems
• Perform electrical work on motorized vehicles and equipment
• Keeps detailed records of all repairs and routine maintenance of the District's fleet
• Responsible for monitoring the fuel tanks.
• Able to navigate Google Suite Applications, 2 way radio technology, and GPS devices and software
• Willing to fill in with maintenance team on certain jobs or projects throughout campus when time allows.
• Extra Pay for bus route driving, and part time driving is expected.
