Project Inspector/Wastewater Operator
- Lake Tawakoni

OrganizationThis position is part of the Lake Tawakoni Division
Position FunctionDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works directly for the Field Supervisor
- Assist in the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the wastewater treatment plant, lift stations, effluent facilities, chemical feed systems and the monthly submission of discharge monitoring records (DMR’s)
- Assist with all permitting (PLUP, CLUP, GLUP etc.) of the flood plain and Authority property
- Assist with division OSSF program
- Conducts CLUP/PLUP compliance inspections and follow-ups
- Conducts PLUP audits
- Assist with water meter readings
- Assist with the piezometer and extensometer program
- Assist with LTD buoy program
- Willing to contribute to a positive work environment
- Perform any other duties as necessary for the operation of the Sabine River Authority of Texas
EDUCATIONAL. EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Have High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Have a valid Texas Driver’s License and be insurable under the Authority’s policy
- Possess a Class C Wastewater Treatment license and two years of field experience
- Be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Be able to swim, walk long distances, and safely lift 75 pounds waist high
- Be able to safely operate a motor boat and work in, on, and around the water
- Be able to wear safety toed footwear
- Be able to climb and work on ladders and to work outdoors under adverse conditions such as heat, cold, rain, insects, poison ivy, snakes, etc.
- Be able to work occasional weekends and be on call
- Be able to learn new skills and have a positive attitude
- Be able to complete in a reasonable period of time all necessary training to obtain all required state licenses and certifications
