Job Description

As an HVAC Controls Technician, you will support the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC control systems. You'll work alongside experienced team members while building hands‑on skills and confidence in the field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performing PTP verification, Startup, commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and low‑voltage HVAC controls using hand and power tools
  • Reviewing installation documents and job specifications under supervision to ensure work complies with local electrical codes
  • Ability to assist with installing conduit, mounting control panels, and wiring control components
  • Reading electrical meters and other diagnostic devices used in the trade
  • Supporting team members on job sites while gaining hands‑on experience
  • Maintaining clean, organized work areas and company vehicles
  • Ensuring all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations
  • Performing physical job requirements such as climbing ladders, pushing and pulling materials, and completing detailed, precise work
Experience and Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of electrical apprenticeship experience or completion of an electrical trade school program preferred.
  • Tridium Niagara 4 training and certificate preferred
  • Experience with Niagara 4 Workbench, controllers, JACE platforms, and supervisory systems.
  • Foundational knowledge of HVAC control systems
  • Experience integrating third‑party HVAC and building systems using BACnet, Modbus, Lon Works, and other communication protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team
  • Ability to follow directions and work safely on job sites
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
  • Willingness to travel, work overtime when needed, and occasionally work independently
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and drug screen
