Salary Range:$66,000.00 to $83,000.00

Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of exempt experience;
Master's degree and 1 year of exempt experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to a bachelor's degree to meet minimum qualifications:

• NNS Apprentice School graduate
• High school and 5 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
• Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School

The following may be used as equivalent to the number of exempt years of experience required, in addition to the education requirement above: 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience

• Sheet Metal Fabrication & Installation – Ability to fabricate, fit, install, and repair sheet metal components used in ship construction and knowledge of mentioned components.
• Ventilation Balancing – Experience with the process of measuring and adjusting the ship’s ventilation system in accordance with engineering requirements.
• Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation – Ability to read and interpret shipbuilding blueprints, engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications.
• Layout & Measurement – Proficient in precision measuring, marking cutting forming, and fitting sheet metal to required dimensions.
• Shipboard Installation – Experience installing sheet metal components, ventilation ductwork, insulation supports, foundations, enclosures, and other shipboard structures.
• Metal Forming – Knowledge of bending, shaping, rolling, flanging, and forming various gauges and types of sheet metal.
• Hand & Power Tools – Proficient in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, shears, brakes, rollers, grinders, and other sheet metal equipment.
• Welding/Brazing Knowledge – Familiarity with welding, brazing, or fastening methods used in sheet metal fabrication and installation.
