** to join the Manufacturing Engineering team.

The
** 2nd Shift Production Maintenance Electrician
** must know their way around a control cabinet, PLC systems, and a multimeter. Our Indianapolis furnace manufacturing plant is a unionized (voluntary) site, offering the kind of stability, competitive hourly pay, and benefits that skilled tradespeople deserve. We need fixers by nature. When a motor burns out or a circuit trips, you are the one who finds the root cause and gets the production line back online.

* Hours:

** Monday through Thursday, 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM (10-hour shifts).
* ** Flexibility:
** Friday requirements often extend to 12-hour shifts (5:00 PM to 5:00 AM).
* *
* Incentives:

** 2nd shift includes a $0.30/hr. premium.
* ** Overtime:
** Weekly overtime is expected. Overtime pay is time-and-a-half, and while we try to avoid Sundays, Sunday work is paid at double-time.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Electrical Repair:
Diagnose faults, perform actual repairs, readjustments, or calibrations on manufacturing equipment.
* Technical Tooling:
Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, hand, electrical, or soldering tools to troubleshoot and wire electrical circuits.
* Installation:
Lay out construction wiring and maintain electrical circuits for machine installations, conveyors, elevators, cranes, and busbars.
* Component Replacement:
Replace unit components including gas valves, control relays, protective relays, fan/blower motors, fuses, and EAC compressors.
* Maintenance & Safety:
Perform preventive maintenance per schedules and preserve clean, safe work areas in accordance with site safety rules and EHS standards
** Basic Qualifications
*** High School Diploma or GED
* Current journeyman's card
** OR
* * successfully completed a Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program for an Electrician
** OR
* * pass the applicable Industrial Assessment Test (score of 70% or higher)
* 3+ years’ experience working as an industrial electrician
* Willing and able to complete the Carrier safety programs successfully
