HAUL - Cage Repair Attnd Maint CRU

Job Details:

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner

This position is responsible for welding, repairing, and fabricating wire cages for the Live Haul department. The role requires maintaining a safe work environment while following all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

• Welding
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on live haul cages, including installation and removal of winter panels.
• Repair and replace cage doors, including welding broken doors, installing new door brackets, and replacing door springs.
• Repair holes in cage wire, tops, and sides, as well as cage fork tubes and cage floors.
• Use machine tools, welding equipment, and hand tools safely and effectively to complete repairs and fabrication work
• Load, offload, and properly strap cages as needed.
• Track and maintain inventory of shop materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Operate forklift, yard driver and other PITs

This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and handling heavy objects, pushing, pulling, standing, squatting, and kneeling for extended periods. Team members must be able to work in both cold and hot weather conditions for 8 or more hours per day.

Current drivers license, MVR checked post offer before moved into position

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Current CDL preferred. Prefer one year diesel mechanic experience or be a graduate of a diesel mechanic training program. Experience must be documented on application or resume. Experience can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at 1 year.
