Saint Lucie, FL Plumbing / Maintenance Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt $45, /YR
The Journeyman Plumber installs, repairs, and maintains plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewage systems. Ensures compliance with codes, safety standards, and project specifications while mentoring junior staff and maintaining accurate records.
Reporting StructureReports To: Plumbing Foreman / Site Supervisor
Department: Plumbing / Maintenance
Supervises: Apprentices or helpers as assigned
Work Location: Jobsite
Key Responsibilities- Install, repair, and maintain piping, fixtures, water heaters, and plumbing systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical manuals
- Inspect plumbing systems for leaks, malfunctions, or code violations
- Mentor apprentices or helpers
- Maintain tools, materials, and inventory
- Coordinate with other trades and project managers for efficient project execution
- Document all work performed and maintain inspection records
- Journeyman Plumber license required in Florida
- Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of plumbing experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety procedures, and maintenance practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, and hard hats
- Ability to remain calm and act appropriately during emergencies
