Facilities Technician; 1st Shift, M-F

Job Functions:

The Facility Technician will support Facilities and Maintenance operations with day-to-day maintenance and repairs of facility building equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

The successful individual will have a broad knowledge of facility equipment, working knowledge of maintenance operations and a problem solver.

liHigh School diploma or GED and at least 5 years in a manufacturing setting or relevant experience or liSkilled Electrical or Mechanical Trade experience with 3 years in a manufacturing setting or relevant experience or liAssociate degree in a technical discipline with 3 years in a manufacturing setting or relevant experience. liMust be mechanically inclined with solid working knowledge of facilities systems.
liDemonstrated experience with commercial building utility power, air compressors, emergency generators, plumbing, fire detection or facility systems. liAble to detect and resolve problems using professional knowledge and strong problem-solving skills. liKnowledge of MAXIMO CMMS. /ul  Required Skills/

Competencies:


liKnowledge of building electrical, mechanical and HVAC with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. liKnowledge of OSHA 70E Arc Flash programs and LOTO. liKnowledge of facility Building Management Systems, access control, security, life safety, and fire systems. liExperience with blueprints, equipment manuals, specifications and equipment trouble shooting. liHands on position working with tools to accomplish repairs. liAbility to work with little supervision.
liDemonstrated troubleshooting skill. liExcellent communications skills. liA team player with the ability to work well with internal and external teams. /ul  

Essential Responsibilities:


liInterfaces with other departments, contractor, and supplier personnel. liResponsible for adherence to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards. liIdentifies and recommends opportunities for cost savings. liAssist with office moves including furniture, cubicle changes and moving people throughout campus. liMaintains Perrysburg building and grounds facilities using applicable resources and equipment. liAssist with installation of all signage and safety equipment on campus.
liPerforms other assignments as required. liJob description subject to change at any time liThis position will perform mechanical and plumbing work, general maintenance working with inspectors, contractors, and department liaisons as requested. liRoutine duties include the identification, troubleshooting and repair of any irregular conditions on equipment, timely follow-up on work orders, performing preventative maintenance. liMinor electrical and plumbing repairs and small projects throughout PBG Camp liOther duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:


liWill sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift. liWill climb stairs on an occasional basis. liWill lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on an occasional basis. liRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. li20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
liMust be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. liMay reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis. liMay stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. liAbility to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards).
liAll associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair). /ul
