Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Northern

We are hiring a US-based Device & Field Service Specialist to support the installation, commissioning, servicing, and ongoing maintenance of advanced technical solutions at customer sites across the United States. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on technical experience, particularly with electronic equipment, industrial devices, prototypes, or field-deployed systems. The specialist will work directly with customers during installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and service visits, ensuring that each solution is properly configured, operating reliably, and meeting customer requirements.

The position involves a mix of technical fieldwork, customer support, device configuration, troubleshooting, operator training, and collaboration with engineering and product teams. The selected candidate will also provide feedback from real-world deployments to help improve product reliability, functionality, and future design. This is a travel-heavy role, requiring approximately 50% travel within the United States. The ideal candidate is proactive, independent, safety-focused, and comfortable working in demanding industrial environments.

Strong communication skills are important, as this person will serve as a key point of contact for customers during deployment and maintenance activities.

What you'll do
  • Receive, unpack, install, and set up devices at customer sites.
  • Install and commission technical solutions and engineering devices, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
  • Support Engineering teams during prototype deployments at customer sites.
  • Provide feedback to improve future designs, functionality, reliability, and serviceability.
  • Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair installed solutions to ensure reliable operation.
  • Configure devices according to customer and operational requirements.
  • Provide on-call and on-site technical support when needed.
  • Train customer operators on how to use the solution effectively.
  • Act as a key point of contact during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
  • Share feedback with Product and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement.
What we're looking for
  • B.Sc. in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in assembly, field service, or technical support roles involving electronic equipment.
  • Electrician certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with device programming, control logic, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and a practical problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work hands-on with prototypes, testing, troubleshooting, and product improvement.
  • Strong focus on safety, reliability, and quality.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% within the United States.
