** What You'll Be Doing
*** Operate scaling equipment to remove loose rock and debris from mine walls and ceilings.
* Conduct regular inspections of mine areas to identify and address potential hazards.
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on scaling equipment.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
* Support the mining team with various tasks as needed.
* Work in an underground environment with heights of 27 feet and a temperature between 50-60 degrees.

* Must be able to work safely and follow all federal and state laws and regulations as well as company and site-specific policies
* Must be able to operate scaling/bolting equipment safely and efficiently in a tight, underground environment
* Must be able to conduct and document pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment
* Must be able to visually evaluate roof and rib conditions
* Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic
* Available to work Saturdays and overtime as business demands dictate
* Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to and from work
* Must perform within the guidelines of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
* Other job duties as assigned  
** Conditions of Employment
*** Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
* Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.  
** Work Environment
*** Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
