** HOURLY RATE:** $39.41 - $62.68
** Responsibilities
* ** Under directive supervision does the less complicated construction and maintenance work on dead conductors, structures and equipment.
* Assists 1st Class and 2nd Class U.C.&M Men in the performance of the more involved work.
* Will be expected to acquire pole climbing skills necessary in the performance of U.C.&M, work. Under close supervision works on energized conductors, structures and equipment not exceeding 600 volts.
* May be required to perform such work as driving truck and operating winch: cleaning parts, oiling, taping, soldering, minor servicing of electrical equipment; install simple power and lighting circuits, installing, removing, connecting or disconnecting electric meters and services.
* Performs other related or less skilled work as directed. Must acquire knowledge and skills necessary for advancement to U.C.&M. Man 2nd Class. The knowledge and skills acquired will be determined by an appropriate test.
** Experience, Education and Special Information

Required:

*** Should have had at least one year's experience as Laborer 1/c in the Maintenance Department, or its equivalent.
* Must have the ability to learn the work of the Maintenance Department as indicated by an appropriate test.
* Must be able to perform semi-routine operations of moderate complexity and variety where standard methods of procedure are available.
* Equivalent to four years of high school; or two years of high school plus two years' apprenticeship or trade school training.
* Must be able to qualify for an automobile operator's license.

*** Normal health, physique and use of senses as indicated by passing the required physical examination given by a Company physician, including color perception.
* Strength and endurance adequate for arduous labor in all kinds of outdoor weather conditions.
