Agricultural Technician

Under the direction of the Superintendent and/or Farm Manager the Agricultural Technician will be responsible for operating a tractor, planter/no-till drill, chainsaws and various farm implements. Making hay, harvesting crops, minor facilities maintenance and fence repair. Experience working with cattle, calving, breeding and moving cattle. Perform other tasks as assigned for the overall operation of the AREC policies pertaining to the general maintenance of all vehicles, equipment and implements and informs the Superintendent and/or Farm Manager of problems that arise.

• Experience with livestock and/or crop production.
• Experience in operating agricultural equipment and vehicles.
• Experience or ability to perform heavy manual labor and lift 75 pounds or more.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working as a team member.

• Knowledge of pasture maintenance and management.
• Experience with precision ag technology.

$20.00 - $22.00; commensurate with experience

Approximately 29 hours per week/1500 hours per year.
