We are seeking a skilled
Commercial Refrigeration Technician
with proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing commercial refrigeration systems. You must possess strong technical knowledge, a MA refrigeration license, and a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations. We work mostly in wastewater plants, plants, and schools.

Pay: $75-100/hr- ALL WORK WILL BE PREVAILING WAGE WORK IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR IN MA
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Setup
- Conduct site assessments and ensure proper placement, electrical connections, and insulation.
- Configure control systems and verify operational efficiency.
- Maintenance & Repair
- Perform routine maintenance: clean coils, replace filters, inspect electrical components, and check refrigerant levels.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues.
- Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures.
- Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to
OSHA
,
NSF/ANSI 7, and
EPA Section 608
standards. - Handle refrigerants safely and legally, ensuring proper recovery, recycling, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Customer Service & Communication
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, repairs, and energy efficiency.
- Provide recommendations for upgrades or preventive maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and walk-in cooler design standards.
- Valid driver's license, and clean driving record, and clean background.
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience with energy-efficient systems and environmentally friendly refrigerants.
- Knowledge of building codes and refrigeration regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
