Minimum Requirements ### Qualifications
* High school graduation or equivalency.
* 1 year of previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.### Work environment
* A main requirement of the job is physical labor.### Qualifications
* Valid Arizona Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker and Haz Mat endorsements within 6 months of hire.
* One (1) Grade I Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Certification in Wastewater Collection upon hire. Must obtain Grade II ADEQ Certification in the Wastewater Collection within one year of hire.### Tell me more...Wastewater Collection is looking for a motivated and dependable Utility System Operator II to join our team. This position is an opportunity for an operator who takes pride in their work, wants to continue developing their skills, and is interested in learning all aspects of wastewater collection operations.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is willing to learn, takes initiative, works well with others, and is committed to providing reliable service to the community. The Utility System Operator II will be responsible for a variety of duties including lift station operations and maintenance, sewer system inspections, hydro-cleaning, CCTV inspections, manhole inspections, pump maintenance, emergency response, and troubleshooting of wastewater collection system issues.
