Clinic Case Manager – Queens Supervised Release Program
This role involves managing a supervised release program at Queens Criminal Court, screening defendants for release, supervising high‑risk participants, and liaising with defense attorneys and service agencies.
Program OverviewThe program screens targeted defendants for release at criminal court arraignment, requiring face‑to‑face and telephone contact, participation in an assessment, and monitoring of court appearances and re‑arrests.
Primary Responsibilities- Review conditions of release, program agreements, and consents for disclosure with participants.
- Conduct intake/assessment interviews, administering evidence‑based tools to identify mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Monitor a caseload of high‑risk and high‑needs participants and provide supervision and referrals to voluntary social services.
- Verify participant contact information and assign supervision levels.
- Maintain contact with participants, monitor re‑arrests, and prepare written progress reports for court.
- Maintain communication with defense attorneys and referral agencies until transfer or completion.
- Update computer‑based case management to produce periodic compliance reports.
- Complete necessary documentation and maintain all data reporting requirements.
- Advocate in court regarding participants’ compliance.
- Participate in staff meetings, ongoing training, and identify opportunities for staff development.
- MSW or relevant master’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of NYC Court Operations preferred.
- LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC preferred.
- Familiarity with ATD, ATI, or advocacy program models.
- Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health, and other support services for referrals.
- Sound, quick judgment and strong communication, writing and time‑management skills.
- Computer literate and adaptable.
- Bilingual skills preferred;
Spanish a plus. - Willingness to work evenings and weekends if needed.
- CASAC or CASCT certification encouraged.
Monday–Friday 9 AM–5 PM (one day remote)
Salary$73,778.82 – $77,643.68 annually
