JOB SUMMARY AND

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Residential & Community Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential home while supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in achieving meaningful community inclusion, personal growth, and independence. This position ensures high-quality, person-centered services that promote dignity, choice, self-determination, and community engagement. The Residential & Community Services Coordinator (RCSC) provides person-centered, community-based support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) receiving services through Kentucky's Supports for Community Living (SCL) Waiver.

The RCSC supports individuals in building skills, relationships, and natural supports that promote meaningful participation in their communities and increased independence. This position emphasizes community inclusion, person-centered planning, skill development, and reduced reliance on paid supports, in alignment with Kentucky Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID) values and SCL Waiver requirements. The RCSC serves as a mentor, advocate, leader, and community connector, ensuring compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and best practices while fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive home environment.

This position works collaboratively with individuals served, families, guardians, community partners, and interdisciplinary team members to support each person's goals, preferences, and desired life outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements Must meet SCL Waiver personnel and training requirements for Community Access Services and Residential Services. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members. Ability to read, understand, and implement written and verbal instructions. Ability to complete required documentation accurately and independently.

Preferred Qualifications Prior experience providing Community Access or waiver-funded services in Kentucky. Completion (or willingness to complete) DBHDID-approved SCL training within required time frames. Knowledge of person-centered practices, community inclusion, and natural supports. Additional Requirements Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally within Northern Kentucky. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Home Management Oversee the daily operation of assigned Hopeful Home(s), ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive living environment for all individuals served.
