Hope Hill Youth Services Direct Care Service Professional - Part TimeHope Hill Youth Services (HHYS) strengthens and equips families to be the answer for vulnerable children, both in local communities and throughout the state of Kentucky. We achieve this by protecting children, empowering youth, and strengthening families through quality social services. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our residential team to provide high‑quality care and solutions for youth in need.
Position OverviewStatus:
Part‑Time, Hourly.
Target Population:
Youth ages 11‑18 residing in our residential facility.
Shifts Available:
2nd Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
3rd Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide consistent direct care and supervision to youth ages 11–18 to ensure their safety and well‑being.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of youth behavior and shift activities.
Administer medications strictly as prescribed and according to facility protocols and keep track in medication logs.
Perform essential cleaning duties to maintain a safe and sanitary environment, including washing clothing and bedding.
Assisting with intakes that occur during their shift.
Helping de‑escalate youth who may be experiencing a mental health crisis. This is a hands‑free facility and no forms of physical interventions are utilized.
Complete briefings and de‑briefings with staff at the beginning and end of each shift.
Prepare and serve meals that occur during the assigned shift.
Ensure youth in the program complete their daily chores and educational assignments.
Actively participate in and facilitate recreational activities with the youth.
Provide services in a manner that empowers clients and follows professionally recognized standards of ethical practice.
Demonstrate an understanding of the effects of trauma, neglect, and abuse on the youth in our care.
Complete 40 hours of initial training and 24 hours of yearly ongoing training.
Other duties as assigned by Residential Program Director
QualificationsMust be at least 21 years of age
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check
Ability to work in a fast‑paced residential environment.
Strong communication skills for maintaining accurate records and case notes.
