Clinical Coordinator
San Diego Youth Services seeks a Clinical Coordinator in the Sunny Days program to be based in San Diego. This is a full-time & exempt position reporting to the Director of Quality Management.

CONTEXT OF THE POSITIONThe Clinical Coordinator supports the delivery and coordination of comprehensive behavioral health services within the Sunny Days Program, working collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor and Director. The Sunny Days Program promotes resilience, emotional wellness, and recovery for youth and young adults ages 4–25 through individual, family, and group counseling, psychiatry services, equine-assisted therapy, and community-based mental health supports. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating therapy, psychiatry, and equine-assisted service referrals;
screening and assigning cases to clinical interns and trainees; and supporting trainee development through mentoring, shadowing, and clinical guidance. The position maintains a small clinical caseload and may conduct intake assessments, crisis intervention, risk assessments, treatment planning, care coordination, referrals to community resources. The Clinical Coordinator will work closely with Director and Clinical Supervision team to provide consultation, monitor service delivery, and help ensure the provision of high-quality, trauma-informed, youth-centered care.
This role supports the development and maintenance of integrated treatment approaches for youth with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders while promoting positive outcomes for youth and families across program services.
- The development, implementation, and evaluation of an integrated treatment approach for youth with co-occurring psychiatric and substance disorders and quality trauma-informed youth programs that adhere to and uphold the rigorous standards of San Diego Youth Services as mandated by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality.

- Assist the Director with coordination, training, and support of clinical interns/trainees and monitoring of clinical services provided by the Sunny Days Program.
- Assist the Program Manager in the preparation of Sunny Days and requested reports.
- Ensure contract compliance by coordinating and conducting internal audits and file reviews.
- Work closely in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor, Director, and community partners to ensure needs are met and support services are readily available.
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with staff and volunteers within the program, the center, the agency, and the community.
- Facilitate weekly Intern/ Trainee team meetings and provide program support and consultation as needed.
- Participate in carrying out agency plans and vision.
- Participate in appropriate agency-wide committees as applicable.
