Title: Technology Specialist
This is an entry level Criminal Justice position
Starting Pay: $19.10/hr
Location: Thornton, CO
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
This position requires in-custody technology hookups in a jail setting.
OVERVIEWThis entry-level criminal justice position will monitor caseload of clients ordered to comply with Intervention technology including but not limited to electronic monitoring, monitored sobriety and/or GPS. Completes record keeping and compliance reporting.

- Meet with new clients and explain program rules and regulations, deadlines, and client responsibilities and expectations.
- Enter client data into the Technology Management System and ICON.
- Hook wearable technology on clients, download information from wearable devices
- Maintain complete, accurate and timely case file, both paper and electronic, for each client on caseload.
- Assess and collect client fees, issue receipt to clients and secure payment appropriately
- Work with probation staff and/or criminal justice personnel on client issues and client staffing as directed by manager
- Monitor drug and alcohol tests, including UA monitoring of same sex clients.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year customer service experience
- Computer skills -- Ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to remain calm in and de-escalate stressful situations
- Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.
- Must have ability to access state criminal databases
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to handle office traffic such as answering phones and dealing with walk in clients.
- Must be able to trouble shoot/problem solve.
