Family Support Manager - Southwest Florida Hendry/Glades (Field)

Description:
The Family Support Manager – Southwest Florida Hendry/Glades works directly with families experiencing crisis through Better Together’s Better Families Program. The role assesses family needs, matches families with approved volunteer host or mentor families, facilitates intakes, develops individualized support plans and life goals, and provides ongoing coaching to help families achieve stability and successful reunification. The position is primarily field-based and requires working directly in the community, responding to crisis situations, and occasionally helping transport individuals to safe locations.

Applicants must live in Hendry or Glades County.

Qualifications:
Candidates should preferably have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, counseling, public health, sociology, family studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience working with vulnerable children and families. Florida Child Welfare Certification is preferred. Candidates should have strong communication, leadership, organization, problem-solving, coaching, and relationship-building skills and be comfortable working independently and making decisions during crisis situations.

A valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle are required because the position involves significant daily travel throughout the community. Candidates must also be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, and participate in a monthly on-call rotation. The role requires alignment with Better Together’s mission and core values and the ability to learn systems such as Salesforce and Basecamp.

The position pays $56,000–$60,000 annually and includes eligibility for sign-on and retention bonuses.
