Credentials needed
: must be at least eighteen (18) years of age but no older than thirty-five (35); receiving or have received at least one (1) child serving agency or a state funded service that is related to youth's emotional, social, behavioral, or substance use disability.
Special skills/knowledge required
: high school diploma or equivalent, KFLA training, demonstrate leadership and advocacy in the field of behavioral health.
Primary Functions
:
- Use relevant personal stories to teach through experience.
- Serve as a role model for clients.
- Encourage client voice and choice during development and implementation of treatment planning.
- Support clients while receiving mental health services. Empower clients to be self-advocates.
- Help clients enhance relationships with community partners.
Shift/Days & Work Hours
:
Monday-Thursday 10 am to 8 pm
