Family and Provider Navigator

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; occasional evening or weekend hours

Hiring range: $48,000–$52,000 annually, depending on experience

Northern Colorado Kids Thrive is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring every young child in our community has access to quality early childhood experiences. We manage significant public and private investments that support families, early childhood educators, and child care providers across Larimer County.

The Family & Provider Navigator helps families, child care providers, educators, and community partners understand and access No

Co Kids Thrive programs and other early childhood resources.

Serving as a welcoming and trusted point of contact, the Navigator provides information, technical assistance, referrals, warm handoffs, and follow-up. This role works across No

Co Kids Thrive teams to make services easier to understand and navigate while identifying barriers and opportunities to improve the family and provider experience.

This position is ideal for someone who is relational, organized, responsive, culturally humble, and able to explain complex information clearly.

Help families and providers understand No

Co Kids Thrive programs, requirements, timelines, and next steps.

Provide navigation related to child care, tuition assistance, Universal Preschool, CCCAP, workforce supports, grants, salary subsidies, quality improvement, and consultation services.

Connect families and providers with the appropriate No

Co Kids Thrive team, community partner, or public resource.

Provide warm handoffs and follow up to ensure questions are answered and referrals are completed.

Build trusted relationships with families, providers, educators, and community partners throughout Larimer County.

Conduct outreach and represent No

Co Kids Thrive at community events, meetings, trainings, and other gatherings.

Identify barriers related to language, technology, documentation, communication, trust, or system complexity.

Coordinate with internal teams to provide accurate, connected, and timely support.

Track inquiries, referrals, follow-up needs, barriers, and outcomes while maintaining confidentiality.

Share recurring questions and community feedback to help improve programs, communications, and access.

The Navigator provides guidance and connection but does not make eligibility, funding, payment, grant, licensing, or compliance decisions.

Three to five years of experience in early childhood, community engagement, family support, or a related field

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Strong skills in organization, coordination, and follow-through

Ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities

Experience working with child care providers

Experience with tuition assistance, preschool subsidies, Universal Preschool, or public early childhood programs

Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities

Familiarity with data systems and program performance tracking

Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
