The Opportunity
Position Title: Mental Health Counsellor

Employment Type: Full Time 35 Hours/week

What You’ll Do

That belief is at the heart of this role. You will help children and youth find hope, build resilience, and create meaningful connections that can shape healthier futures. More specifically, you will:
- Build a comprehensive understanding of each client’s strengths, challenges, goals, and circumstances through collaborative assessment and engagement with clients, families, caregivers, and service partners.
- Connect clients and families with community resources, programs, and support networks that reduce barriers, foster resilience, and enhance overall quality of life.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide clear reports that support informed decision-making, continuity of care, accountability, and service excellence.
What You Will Bring to The Role
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating mental health and wellness services.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Clinical Psychology
- Registered with BCCSW, ACCT, CPCA. Alternate registrations will be reviewed on an individual basis.
- Two years of related experience with responsibility for providing a range of community-based mental health services.
