As a Program Supervisor you will have the opportunity to work with children ages 8-21 with a variety of diagnoses and behavior challenges while mentoring and developing a team to support the children in our care.The STAIRS [Short Term Autism Intensive Residential Services] program provides intensive, autism-specific treatment for children, ages 8 to 21, with severe behavioral challenges and skills deficits, which have not responded to treatment in traditional community based or residential settings.
Every day as a Program Supervisor you will....
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in our care.
- Provide supervision to direct care staff and monitoring the daily operation of assigned program and ensuring they comply with all regulatory guidelines and professional standards.
- Provides crisis prevention and intervention services to the program.
- Ensure the practice of following all guidelines set forth by Devereux and it's licensing authorities.
- Participates in the orientation of new employees to unit, delegates assignments and empowers others to take ownership of their work.
- Shift schedule 2pm-10pm - rotating weekends

Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.
A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Each year, more than 1,000 children and adolescents receive specialized care, in the environment best suited to the unique challenges they face, all with the goal of providing each child with the academic, social, emotional and life skills needed to flourish in their home community.
EDUCATION :
Bachelors degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, heath, recreation, criminal justice, counseling;anda minimum of two years direct care experience.
OR
60 college credits from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline (as described above);
and three years direct care experience.
EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
