* POSITION SUMMARY:

** The Department Generalist serves as a flexible, cross-trained team member who provides program and staffing coverage across the department’s key roles. This includes temporary coverage of roles such as Family Advocate, Parent Educator, Child Educator, Outreach Specialist, Office Supervisor, Promotora, and Two-Gen Navigator. The Generalist is deployed during staff leave, vacancies, and/or transitional staffing periods and is expected to quickly integrate into program workflows, deliver high-quality services, and maintain operational continuity.

* WORK SCHEDULE:

** This position generally follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role also includes two evening shifts per week (until 8:00 PM) and 4 hours of work on Saturdays, on a rotating basis. For example, an employee may work two weeknights one week and a Saturday shift the following week. While the schedule may vary week to week, the total hours will generally not exceed 40 hours per week.

Occasional overtime may be required based on program needs.

11. Participate in and/or supports agency fund development activities and events.
12. Prepare assigned reports, work records, statistical data, job performance evaluations, work plans, etc. in a timely manner.

* QUALIFICATIONS:

** 1. Bachelor’s degree in social work, early childhood education, public health, or related field preferred.
2. 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: case management, parent education, early childhood services, outreach, or nonprofit operations.
