Position Title:

Parent Engagement Meeting Facilitator for the Community Collaboration for Children (CCC) Program

Reports to:

Senior Director of Health Impact

Hourly Wage: $24.72

FSLA Classifications:
Non-Exempt, Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Facilitate Parent Education Meetings (PEMs) to address truancy and educational neglect by helping families identify and overcome barriers to regular school attendance and educational success.

• Lead and facilitate discussion in PEM meetings in the NKCAC service area including but not limited to Boone, Carroll, Gallatin, Dayton Independent Schools, and Owen County School Districts.
• Act as a neutral party among the PEM participants.
• Utilize a strengths-based approach while facilitating PEMs.
• Assist in scheduling PEMs with the school district.
• Discuss truancy issues, identify family strengths, and assess concerns and needs during PEMs.
• Brainstorm ideas to address concern and needs.
• Develop an action plan for improving attendance which includes a follow-up process.
• Maintain confidentiality throughout the PEM process.
• Comply with all data entry and data reporting requirements.
• Attend all required training and state meetings required by the position.
• Serve schools across the 12-county service area as assigned.
• All duties deemed necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field; OR a bachelor’s degree in another field with at least one (1) year of experience providing services to families.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing in-home services and/or facilitating parent education programs for children and families.
• Experience facilitating meetings, leading group discussions, or working collaboratively with families and community partners.
• Knowledge of family dynamics, barriers to school attendance, and community resources available to support children and families.
• Ability to remain neutral, manage difficult conversations, and assist participants in developing collaborative solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic data entry systems.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the CCC twelve-county service area.

• Experience working with school districts, family engagement programs, truancy prevention, or educational neglect cases.
• Experience facilitating multidisciplinary meetings involving families, school personnel, and community service providers.
• Training or experience in strengths-based family engagement, conflict resolution, motivational interviewing, or trauma-informed practices.
• Knowledge of Kentucky school attendance requirements, educational neglect concerns, and community-based family support services.
• Familiarity with the Northern Kentucky service area and available resources for families experiencing barriers to school attendance.

• Ability to successfully complete required background checks in accordance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
• Willingness to complete all required training related to Parent Education Meetings and program requirements.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and demonstrate cultural sensitivity when working with families from diverse backgrounds.
