Required Qualifications:
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Security Plus SEC+ certification required
- Must be on site at Worldgate office in Herndon.
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience developing Java EE applications on Weblogic Application Server for highly available, 24x7, and scalable systems on Linux/Unix platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems including knowledge of data modeling concepts, ERD design and development .
- Strong experience in developing enterprise Java solutions following standard/best practices including Object Oriented Analysis and Design and design patterns.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge on Software Development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)
- Demonstrated Analytical and Problem Solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Excellent programming skills in Java and Java EE.
- Excellent knowledge of Java and object oriented programming.
Qualifications:
- Servlets, JNDI, JDBC, JUnit, Maven, SOAP/Restful, XML, XSD, Spring JPA, Spring Framework, Spring Batch Framework, Angular 15 or above, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, GITLab and Eclipse.
Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer.
This position is located in Herndon, VA.
The position will perform the following duties, but not limited too:- Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of electronic data processing software.
- Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensures software standards are met.
- Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Confere with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
- Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
