Junior Software Engineer

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – three days onsite, two days remote)

Hybrid role (Contract to hire)

Compensation: $35 - $42 per hour

We are seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer specialized/has interest in front-end development to join a fast-paced team focused on developing modern web and mobile applications. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with strong JavaScript and React experience who is excited to build user-facing applications and contribute to innovative projects leveraging AI-powered development tools.

You will work closely with senior engineers and technical leaders while supporting a growing React Native initiative. Success in this role requires strong technical fundamentals, curiosity, self-motivation, and the ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly evolving technology environment.

• Develop and maintain front-end applications using React and Type Script
• Contribute to mobile application development efforts utilizing React Native
• Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces with a focus on performance and usability
• Collaborate with engineers, technical leads, and product stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to continuously improve code quality
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and accelerate delivery
• Troubleshoot bugs, optimize application performance, and implement enhancements
• Learn and adopt new technologies and development practices as business needs evolve

• 1-3 years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java Script
• Experience developing applications using React
• Familiarity with Type Script
• Understanding of front-end development best practices, including component-based architecture and responsive design
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Exposure to or experience with React Native
• Experience developing mobile applications for iOS or Android platforms
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar technologies
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
• Experience working in Agile development environments

• Comfortable moving quickly and adapting to changing priorities
• Excited to leverage AI tools as part of the development process
• Takes ownership of work and proactively seeks solutions
• Enjoys collaborating with experienced engineers while continuing to develop technical skills
• Interested in both web and mobile application development
