** As part of the Wealth Management Technology organization, the
** Lead Data Engineer, Apps Dev
** serves as a technical leader within the Annuity and Life Insurance Solutions team, supporting critical enterprise applications, data solutions, and business initiatives. This role is responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions that support business operations, application modernization, production stability, and strategic technology objectives across the Wealth Management department.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in Oracle database development, data engineering, application integration, and production support with strong technical leadership and problem-solving capabilities. This position plays a key role in supporting Annuity and Life Insurance initiatives, including application modernization, CSS decommissioning initiatives, platform enhancements, system decommission efforts, and ongoing operational excellence, while partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

This role requires hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, enterprise job scheduling platforms, automation, and modern software delivery practices. The Lead Data Engineer will lead technical design, development, implementation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives while promoting engineering best practices, supporting Agile delivery teams, and ensuring operational excellence across critical business applications. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong balance of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills to influence outcomes, mentor team members, reduce operational risk, and drive the successful delivery of innovative technology solutions that support advisor, client, and business needs.

The role also requires proficiency in leveraging AI-enabled engineering tools and practices to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, testing, and delivery efficiency while maintaining accountability for solution quality, security, and performance.
