We’re looking for a highly skilled Build & Release Engineer who will embrace our culture, is ready to learn new things, and share their hard earned expertise to make and deliver builds to internal and external parties, and ensure that releases go smoothly.
Whatyou’ll do…
- Assist with development and orchestration of deployment workflows as well as performing deployments.
- Contribute to the technical build pipeline in C# and Groovy that automates and drives the build system and other related tooling.
- Actively participate in cross-discipline collaborations to implement new workflows and gain knowledge about the game development life cycle.
- Help support our integration process, emergent work and deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance and stability issues in the dev and release branch environments.
- 2+ years of game studio experience working with first parties in a AAA games studio, ideally in build engineering
- Previous experience working with regular title updates
- Programming experience in C#/Java/OOP
- Scripting and automation skills in one or more of Groovy, Python, Powershell, or similar.
- Experience with automated build systems such as Jenkins, Team City or equivalent.
- Experience with Perforce or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with VMWare/Openshift
- Experience with ADX, Grafana, or similar
- Experience with JIRA or equivalent.
- Experience with Azure/AWS
- Must be self-driven and a team player with a solid work ethic
- Passion for games
- Excellent communication skills
- Intellectual curiosity
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
- * British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$104,500 - $142,800 CAD
- * California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$120,600 - $184,000 USD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
