We are seeking a skilled iOS Developer to design, develop, test, and enhance mobile applications used by a large global user base. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in iOS development, a passion for user experience and clean code, and the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The developer will work closely with designers, product owners, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences while contributing ideas and solutions to open-ended technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance iOS applications using modern development practices.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while continuously improving existing codebases.
- Develop and implement mobile features in collaboration with designers, product owners, QA, and engineering teams.
- Analyze and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production bugs.
- Perform performance analysis and optimization to improve application responsiveness and reliability.
- Work with both modern Swift code and legacy Objective-C components.
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests using XCTest and XCUITest.
- Build and maintain continuous integration workflows using tools such as Git Hub Actions and CircleCI.
- Work with build and project management tools such as Tuist and xcodebuild.
- Integrate iOS applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Contribute to functional programming patterns, MVVM architecture, and reusable application components.
- Design solutions for ambiguous and open-ended technical problems and rapidly iterate on potential solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Contribute to open-source initiatives and continuously evaluate modern iOS technologies and development practices.
- Professional experience developing and maintaining iOS applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Swift and iOS development frameworks.
- Experience with UIKit and modern iOS application architecture, including MVVM.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services.
- Experience with unit and integration testing using XCTest and/or XCUITest.
- Experience troubleshooting bugs and optimizing application performance.
- Experience working with Objective-C legacy codebases.
- Experience with continuous integration and build automation.
- Experience with Git Hub Actions, CircleCI, Tuist, xcodebuild, or similar development and build tools.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and functional coding patterns.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of technical deliverables.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience working with large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Experience with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Experience with RAML API documentation.
- Familiarity with µFeatures architecture or similar modular application architectures.
- Experience with Danger or similar automated code review and quality tools.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience working with custom or legacy backend services.
- Relevant iOS, Swift, mobile development, or cloud certifications are a plus.
