• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions.
• Improve engineering standards around scalability, reliability, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Establish and strengthen development practices including:

• Identify technical risks and proactively address architectural or delivery issues.
• Manage engineering priorities, capacity, and technical debt.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, career development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Promote the responsible adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and automation

• Collaborate effectively within a distributed and remote organization.

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading or managing software engineers.
• Strong background building enterprise or SaaS applications.
• Solid understanding of modern software architecture, APIs, cloud environments, distributed systems, and databases.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Dev Ops practices, automated testing, and software quality.
• Strong ability to mentor senior engineers and influence technical decisions.
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

• Previous experience in Healthcare, Health Tech, Healthcare SaaS, Payer, Provider, Digital Health, or regulated industries

• Experience working with sensitive or regulated data.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data-security considerations.
• Cloud-native architecture.
• Microservices and APIs.
• Data platforms and AI-enabled products.
• Experience modernizing legacy applications.
