Founding Software Engineer

Engineering - San Francisco, on-site - $120k - $160k base + 0.5% - 1% equity

We run a PCB design firm that ships real hardware, and we're building AI workflows that make hardware design much faster. You'll own the software behind that system and work beside the electrical engineers who use it every day.

This is an in-person role in San Francisco. You must live here or relocate before starting.

What we're looking for:

• Product builder: You've shipped full-stack products that people use
• Strong fundamentals: You know Type Script, React, APIs, and databases
• AI systems experience: You've built reliable AI or LLM workflows
• Good product judgment: You make clear decisions and communicate them well
• Comfort with ambiguity: You can move through vague problems and fast decisions
• Love of making: You build useful things outside your assigned work

Nice to have:

• Experience with KiCad, EDA tools, CAD, or hardware
• Familiarity with manufacturing workflows
• Early-stage startup experience
• Work on developer tools or technical products

What you'll do:

• Build AI agents for PCB design, sourcing, review, and manufacturing
• Own product features from rough idea through production
• Work directly with electrical engineers and customers
• Improve the architecture as usage grows
• Ship across our Type Script, React, Next.js, AI, and backend stack
• Help set the engineering culture for the company
