ABOUTTHE ROLE
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will be involved in all phases of software development, from defining requirements through production releases. You will be embedded in a cross‑functional team of analysts, developers, product managers, and quality assurance professionals who work together to deliver high‑quality, high‑value software. This is a hands‑on internship for students who are passionate about technology, curious about how software creates business value, and excited to take ownership of meaningful work.
You will contribute in a collaborative, agile environment that values open discussion, continuous learning, accountability, and delivering value with each iteration.
- Build impactful solutions:
Design and develop web applications and APIs that help business partners and customers work more efficiently and productively. - Collaborate on solution design:
Participate in design sessions with Software Engineers, Business Analysts, users, and Quality Assurance Analysts. - Work in an agile environment:
Contribute within a collaborative team that uses agile practices and modern technology. - Write quality code:
Apply SOLID principles and test‑driven development methodologies to create reliable, maintainable software. - Deliver on project goals:
Complete development tasks in alignment with project priorities and timelines. - Strengthen software quality:
Develop automated tests in partnership with application development teams to support continuous regression testing. - Contribute across the lifecycle:
Gain experience with requirements, design, development, testing, and production releases.
- Hands‑on experience across the full software development lifecycle
- Experience building web applications and APIs that support real business needs
- Exposure to agile development, test‑driven development, and automated testing
- Opportunities to strengthen C#, .NET, T‑SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio skills
- Experience collaborating with engineers, analysts, product managers, users, and quality assurance professionals
- A stronger understanding of how software teams deliver value through iterative development
- Experience taking ownership of development work in a collaborative corporate environment
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science and Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience with .NET, C#, T‑SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio
- A passion for software development and curiosity about modern technology
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to software quality
- The ability to take ownership, meet commitments, and contribute in a team‑based setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- The ability to thrive in a driven, passionate, creative, and collaborative environment
- Experience with agile, Scrum, or Lean practices
- Experience with a modern JavaScript framework such as React or Angular using Type Script
- Experience with Entity Framework 6.0 or later
- Experience with ASP.NET Web API 2
- Experience using dependency injection frameworks and writing unit tests
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops or Visual Studio Team Services and Git
- Exposure to messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or MSMQ
- Understanding of software design patterns such as Strategy, Abstract Factory, Singleton, or Adapter
