** PAY RANGE
** The Target Pay Range for this position is $-$ annually. The full Pay Range is $ - $ annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant.

** IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:
** In this role, you’ll strengthen BECU’s engineering capabilities by designing and delivering scalable, secure software that directly enhances the digital experiences our members rely on. You’ll apply engineering rigor, architectural thinking, and hands‐on development leadership to accelerate MDX priorities. You’ll shape how we build systems, mentor developers, and influence engineering standards across the organization. Your work will improve reliability, performance, and long-term technical health across our platforms.

Through your contributions, you’ll help advance BECU’s mission to improve the financial well‐being of our members.
** To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, , AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA or VA.
** If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. ** Build scalable, resilient, and secure services while developing prototypes, proofs of concept, and production‐ready features using modern engineering practices.
* ** Lead Engineering Work streams:
** Guide small to medium teams through designing, building, testing, and delivering system components and services.
* ** Drive Code Quality:
** Model BECU’s coding standards, provide thorough code reviews, and champion clean, maintainable design principles.
* ** Implement Technical Improvements:
** Identify opportunities to modernize design, code, and system structure, and drive enhancements—including greenfield initiatives.
* ** Contribute to Architecture:
** Collaborate with architects and product owners to define technical direction, roadmaps, and long‐term engineering strategy.
