Location: Northern
Join our embedded systems team to develop real-time firmware and low-level control software for robotic gloves and hands. You will work on motor control, sensor interfaces, communications, and hardware validation that make responsive robotic hardware possible.
Requirements- 01 Pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 02 Experience programming in Rust; embedded Rust experience is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals: borrowing, aliasing, async/await, traits, generics, etc.
- 03 Understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers, DMA, and real-time constraints.
- 04 Strong understanding of different synchronization primitives.
- 05 Familiarity with CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, or other embedded communication protocols.
- 06 Comfort debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD, and serial tools.
- 07 (+) Experience with Embassy, RTIC, FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or similar RTOS/async embedded frameworks.
- 08 (+) Knowledge of BLDC motor control, FOC, current sensing, or encoder interfaces.
- 09 (+) Experience with CANopen CiA 402, EtherCAT, or bootloaders.
- 10 (+) Python or C/C++ experience for test automation and integration.
- 11 (+) Type Script + React for GUIs.
- 01 Develop and debug Rust firmware for motor controllers, sensor interfaces, and embedded communications.
- 02 Implement and optimize deterministic control loops, state machines, and calibration workflows.
- 03 Integrate tactile, force, IMU, encoder, and position sensors into real-time embedded systems.
- 04 Build test utilities and diagnostics for board bring-up, manufacturing checks, and hardware-in-the-loop validation.
- 05 Collaborate with EE, mechanical, controls, and AI teams to improve system performance and reliability.
- 06 A Proception employee will reach out directly to schedule additional interviews.
- 07 A portfolio is recommended where relevant.
- 08 Interview process: two technical interviews and one CEO interview.
