Manhattan PKMS 2002 Technical Support & Development Engineer

• 7–10 years of experience in AS/400 / IBM i application development and support, with strong hands‑on expertise in legacy RPG programming.
• Strong experience with Manhattan PKMS / Warehouse Management System applications, preferably involving older PKMS versions or legacy PKMS implementations.
• Hands‑on experience in RPG III and RPG IV, with the ability to understand, debug, modify and enhance existing structured RPG code.
• Strong experience with CL/CLLE programming and AS/400 job, batch and operational processing.
• Ability to support a highly customized Manhattan PKMS 2002 environment and understand the impact of custom code on core warehouse processes.
• Experience in analyzing and enhancing existing legacy applications where functional and technical documentation may be limited.
• Strong understanding of key Warehouse Management processes, including inventory, receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing and shipping.
• Ability to investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely fixes in a business‑critical WMS environment.
• Experience in designing and implementing enhancements and customization requests in legacy AS/400 applications.
• Ability to perform impact analysis across RPG programs, CL programs, database objects and batch processes.
• Strong understanding of DB2 for IBM i / AS400 database concepts, including physical and logical files and SQL.
• Experience working with legacy structured RPG code and, ideally, familiarity with the evolution toward RPG ILE and free‑format RPG.
• Experience in application testing, debugging, code promotion and production deployment within AS/400 environments.
• Ability to work closely with onsite functional/business teams to understand warehouse requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a lean support and development team.
• Experience in Manhattan PKMS customization and enhancement projects would be a significant advantage.
